Under Vehicle Inspection Systems

With the Under Vehicle Inspection Systems (UVIS or UVSS), the bottom of any vehicle is inspected in a fast and efficient way. The Under Vehicle Inspection Systems (UVIS) are used to detect explosives, weapons, narcotics and other contraband. Manually inspecting a vehicle by means of mirrors, control wells and lamps is thus truly a thing of the past. The people who are hiding in a larger vehicles in order to gain access to a certain location are also easy to detect with the UVIS system.

No more mirrors, but a complete and digital image of the underside of a vehicle that can be stored directly as evidence or for analysis afterwards.

The UVIS system - also known as UVSS

When a vehicle drives over the vehicle ground inspection, an accurate IR scan is made of the underside of the vehicle. The scanned images are directly displayed on an external system and can thus be inspected in real-time by the operator or can be stored for later analysis and forensic analysis. Various image processing options allow the operator to manually add relevant information to the file. The Under Vehicle Inspection System is available in a temporary (movable) version and as a stationary version which will be fully integrated in the surface.

The UVIS Processing unit

The processing unit is not an of the shelf product as it is specifically made for this purpose. In this case it is an advanced industrial grade computer running on LINUX OS with very low energu consumption. Therefore the system does not require a cooling fan and does not attract dust into the computer.

UVIS Gamma Radiation scan

This UVIS system can be completed with a technology to detect radioactive objects, both inside and under the vehicle. The Radiation Portal Monitor combines the traditional under vehicle inspection scanning with a Vehicle Radiation Gate.

Extra 'add on' for the UVIS system

The UVIS can be completed with extra features like an integrated ANPR and Driver Face Capture (DFC). The ANPR and DFC system are triggered by the induction loop of the UVIS system. The system can also be completed with an unique additional module capable of detecting Magnets which are used to hold contraband and/or explosives.
